End your 2018 right here in downtown Dallas! On December 31st, popular nightclub venue Don’t Tell Supper Club will present “The Greatest Show on Earth,” a festive bash rivaling New Year’s Eve spectacles seen in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York City.
Complete with magicians and aerialists, there will be a midnight champagne toast, DJs, cash prizes and the best tomahawk beef in the entire city. The narrative performance will adapt “The Greatest Showman,” the hit Hugh Jackman musical about the formation of the Barnum and Bailey Circus.
“The show will blow your imagination away,” says Avi Adri, one of Don’t Tell’s owners. “We’re introducing a Hollywood stuntman and former members of Barnum and Bailey’s to Dallas for one special night. These are thousand-dollar acts you can’t find anywhere else.”
The noted stuntman is Frank Chapman, who has doubled for several Spider-Man actors such as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
“I’m a Dallas native who went to [the Marines] for a while, and then I moved to L.A. where my dad lives,” reflects Chapman, reminiscing on how his military physique proved conducive to film. “My father forced me to train in acrobatics, and I found a mentor while working on ‘Spider-Man 3.’”
“We will premiere several never-before-seen juggling acts,” says Chapman, “I’ll be performing horizontal juggling, fire juggling, backwards aerials and more.”
The first four-course dinner sitting is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., going at $100 per person. The second dinner sitting is from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and will go at $125 per person. The late door entrance fee, after 10:00 p.m., is $25. Reservations can be made by calling 214-432-8282.
